Terms and Conditions
The rules for using Daap Toi, participating in events, and maintaining an account.
These Terms and Conditions govern the Daap Toi website and mobile service, including meal plans, personalized meal opportunities, proposed and confirmed tables, restaurant proposals, table chat, feedback, reports and blocks. You agree to these Terms when you create an account or otherwise complete the acceptance step presented by the service.
On this page
- You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information to use the service.
- Daap Toi may suspend content or accounts that create safety, fraud, abuse, or legal risk.
- Offline dining is a real-world activity, so the service supports coordination and moderation but does not guarantee any meal or interaction.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
These Terms apply as soon as you access or use the authenticated parts of the service.
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Daap Toi.
- You must provide truthful account information and keep that information reasonably up to date.
- If you do not agree to these Terms or you do not meet the eligibility requirements, you must not use the service.
2. Accounts and account security
Your account is personal to you, and you are responsible for activity that happens through it.
- Keep your login credentials secure and do not share your account with another person.
- You must not impersonate another person, create misleading profiles, or use the service to deceive other users.
- We may require verification, restrict access, or suspend an account if we reasonably believe there is abuse, fraud, or a security risk.
3. Meal matching, events, and participation
Daap Toi helps compatible adults coordinate a proposed meal, but participants remain responsible for their choices, conduct and offline arrangements.
- A meal plan is a private demand signal, not a reservation or promise that a match or meal will occur. A derived meal opportunity is not a public listing of another person's full meal plan.
- Expressing interest may place you in a proposed table, but a table becomes confirmed only when the required participants explicitly accept the same restaurant and exact time proposal.
- A confirmed table locks the accepted restaurant, time and participant set. Participants must use the available cancellation or leave actions rather than assume that messages or non-attendance cancel a commitment.
- Joining a table does not create an employment, agency, partnership, insurance or restaurant relationship between Daap Toi and users. Restaurant bills, punctuality, attendance and conduct remain the participants' responsibility.
- Daap Toi coordinates dining participation but does not guarantee personal chemistry, friendship, or any future relationship between users.
4. Content and table chat
Users control what they submit, but they must use those features lawfully and responsibly.
- You remain responsible for meal plan details, dish notes, restaurant proposals, messages, feedback, reports and other content you submit through the service.
- By submitting content, you grant Daap Toi the rights needed to host, display, moderate, back up, and process that content for the operation and protection of the service.
- Event messaging is for restaurant, time, budget, dietary and attendance coordination. It is not a general direct-messaging service.
- We may remove, limit, or preserve content where necessary for product integrity, safety review, legal compliance or the protection of other users.
5. Prohibited conduct
Certain conduct is incompatible with the service and may result in immediate action.
- You must not harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit, stalk, or intimidate another user.
- You must not misuse matching, interest, proposal, cancellation, feedback, reporting, blocking, messaging or other safety functions.
- You must not attempt to interfere with the service, scrape data unlawfully, bypass security, or gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or content.
6. Suspension, termination, and policy enforcement
We may take action when needed to protect users, the service, or our legal position.
- Daap Toi may investigate suspected misconduct and may warn, limit, suspend, terminate, or permanently restrict accounts or content when justified by safety, fraud, abuse, or legal concerns.
- We may keep relevant records after enforcement action where necessary for audits, disputes, safety investigations, or compliance obligations.
- The current service does not process restaurant bills, deposits or refunds. If paid platform features are introduced later, their price and any additional terms will be shown before purchase.
7. Service changes, disclaimers, and liability limits
The service may change over time, and some risks remain outside our control.
- We may add, remove or modify matching rules, launch-city availability, event tools and community functions from time to time, subject to notice or renewed acceptance where legally required.
- Restaurant search and place information may depend on third-party map or place providers. A displayed place is not an endorsement, partnership, reservation or guarantee of availability or accuracy.
- The service is provided on an as-available basis to the extent permitted by law, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect accuracy, or the conduct of any third party.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, but otherwise our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
8. Contact and related policies
These Terms should be read together with the Privacy Notice and Safety guidance.
- Privacy and data handling are described in the Privacy Notice, and community risk guidance is described on the Safety page.
- Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected] and general support requests can be sent to [email protected].
- If we make material changes to these Terms, we will publish the updated version date on this page and use additional notice where appropriate.
