Safety
How Daap Toi supports trust, moderation, and safer real-world dining.
Daap Toi is built around in-person meals, which means trust and safety are not only about online behavior. This page explains what we do to support better decisions, what tools exist inside the service, and what limits still apply when people meet offline.
On this page
- Users must be adults and must follow community rules that protect dignity, safety, and lawful participation.
- Limited participant context, locked event details, table chat, confidential reports and blocks contribute to the current safety model.
- Daap Toi can support moderation and accountability, but urgent danger should always be handled through local emergency services first.
1. Baseline expectations
Everyone using Daap Toi must meet the same minimum standards of conduct.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
- Harassment, threats, discrimination, coercion, stalking, fraud, and other unlawful conduct are not allowed on or through the platform.
- meal opportunity candidates and event participants are expected to communicate honestly, respect confirmed arrangements, and participate in good faith.
2. Before you join a table
Better outcomes generally follow from informed decisions made before a meal takes place.
- Review the diner details, restaurant proposal, and exact time before accepting a plan to confirm your table.
- Agree the expected budget and how the restaurant bill will be divided before the meal; Daap Toi does not process restaurant payment or guarantee another participant's payment in the current service.
- Share personal information gradually and only to the extent necessary for the dining arrangement.
3. During and after an event
The service supports coordination, self-reported feedback and safety review, but these do not replace personal judgment.
- current attendance feedback is each participant's own report. It is not a verified check-in, public review or platform decision that another person was absent.
- When meeting someone for the first time, choose public places, tell someone you trust where you are going, and leave if a situation feels wrong.
- If there is immediate danger or a medical emergency, contact local emergency services first.
4. Reporting and moderation
Confidential reporting is part of how we investigate safety issues and repeated abuse.
- Eligible users can submit confidential reports with event or message context to flag safety concerns, abusive behavior, fraud, or other conduct that may violate our rules or put others at risk.
- Reports are reviewed by Daap Toi for moderation and safety purposes and are not published as public accusations.
- Blocks reduce future matching and new messaging where possible, but do not erase historical records or silently remove existing shared-event responsibilities.
5. Platform limits and practical alternatives
We want users to understand both the protection we offer and the limits of an online service.
- Daap Toi cannot guarantee that every person, event, or offline interaction will be safe, lawful, or consistent with how they present themselves online.
- Daap Toi also does not guarantee personal chemistry, friendship, or long-term connection between people who share a meal.
- Email access, matching, blocks and reports reduce some risks but are not identity verification, background checks, emergency monitoring or guarantees of attendance.
- If a feature or control you expect is not available in your current version of the service, avoid further engagement, leave the event or conversation where appropriate, and contact support or submit a report.
